What happens now?

We’ve always found it helps people who’ve lost someone special to know exactly what’s involved in the funeral planning process. Remember, we’re here to help every step of the way. Just let us know and we’ll take care of as much – or as little – of the process as you like. Let’s take a quick look at what’s involved in the planning of a funeral.

Get in touch

Let’s start with a phone conversation. Ask us anything – we’ll be happy to answer all your questions in as much detail as you’d like. If, at the end of this chat, you’d like to know more, we can make an appointment to meet with you in person.

A face-to-face meeting

One of our experienced team can meet with you at your home or at our Belconnen premises – whichever suits your needs best. This get-together is a chance to talk in more detail about the funeral process – but importantly, it’s a chance to discuss your loved one and what they mean to you. Let’s talk about their personality. Their passions. Their life story. After all, how can we plan a funeral befitting of a person so special to you if we don’t get to know them first?

Arranging the service

During our in-person meeting, we will discuss the specifics of the service and in particular your choice for a Minister or Celebrant to work out the ideal service for your loved one, in terms of tone, feel, and your family’s wishes. This is a very important step in the process and we will work hard to make sure we create a day right just for your family and friends.

We will take care of all the statutory forms for you, including the Death Registration Form, Application for a Death Certificate and Application for burial or cremation. But what we need from you are the following details of your deceased loved one;
– Full name
– Last address
– Date of birth
– Place of birth
– Marriage details (place, date and to whom married)
– Children’s names and dates of births.
– Parent’s names (please include mother’s maiden name)
– Parent’s occupation (current or former)

The day will proceed exactly as you have planned out with our director and Minister or Celebrant, which can involve everything from music to flowers to heartfelt gatherings and viewings. Everything is tailored just for you.
